Public Wi-Fi Workshop
GCTC Public Wi-Fi SuperCluster (PWSC) will host a full-day workshop on May 11, 2017 at Joint Venture Silicon Valley in San Jose, CA. There is no cost to attend.
Key themes include; defining a set of best practices for public Wi-Fi deployments, building public-private partnerships, and linking regional and municipal public Wi-Fi efforts.
The conference has two key objectives:
- The GCTC Public Wi-Fi SuperCluster will draft a high-level blueprint of technical consideration and economic profiles for public Wi-Fi networks. The goal is for this blueprint to be utilized by cities around the world as a way to jumpstart their efforts.
- Share information, strategies, best practices, case studies, and connect leaders.
Conference hosts are County of San Mateo (CA), City of San Leandro (CA), City of Schenectady (NY), Ruckus/Brocade, Verizon/Sensity, NIST, NTIA, and Joint Venture Silicon Valley.
