National Indian Education Association (NIEA)


The mission of the National Indian Education Association is to support traditional Native cultures and values, to enable Native learners to become contributing members of their communities, to promote Native control of educational institutions and to improve educational opportunities and resources for American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians throughout the United States.

NIEA Student Resources serves Native students, it helps to support us in our efforts to see every American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian student excel. NIEA awards the John C. Rouillard and Alice Tonemah Memorial Scholarship each year to deserving full-time undergraduate, masters and doctoral students who are American Indian, Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian. NIEA wants to make sure that every Native student knows about other funding opportunities to help them succeed in their academic career.

TDV

The Tribal Digital Village Network (TDVNet) was created with the intent to bring Internet connectivity to the member tribes of SCTCA and empower their people. The Tribal Digital Village(TDV) is a continued set of objectives to help SCTCA achieve its mission thru technology, first and foremost, devised by the community leaders to handle the technical aspects of meeting its mission statement. The primary mission of Southern California Tribal Chairmen's Association (SCTCA) is to serve the health, welfare, safety, education, cultural, economic and employment needs of its tribal members and descendants in the San Diego County urban areas.
