Two Directions Inc.


Two Directions Inc. is a special-purpose corporation. Its primary intent is to provide classroom training, seminars, workshops and related instruction for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants in order to improve their job skills and life skills, enhance job readiness and help them fulfill required work participation hours.

Two Directions is a minority women’s corporation that was incorporated in the State of California in 1998. It contracts with the Southern California Tribal Chairmen’s Association Inc. to provide training to TANF participants from the eight North San Diego County American Indian reservations. Offices are located on the Rincon Indian Reservation, where training can be easily accessed by participants.

Two Directions offers a broad array of interesting, life-enhancing class topics, both academic and vocational. It collaborates with local community-based organizations, schools and private enterprise entrepreneurs. It also hires qualified instructors to teach specific courses.

Because we understand that the TANF participant often leads a lifestyle that is full of challenges and difficulties, it is our company policy to provide each individual with quality, meaningful, relevant instruction in as professional and empathetic way as possible to help them successfully meet their goals.

TDV

The Tribal Digital Village Network (TDVNet) was created with the intent to bring Internet connectivity to the member tribes of SCTCA and empower their people. The Tribal Digital Village(TDV) is a continued set of objectives to help SCTCA achieve its mission thru technology, first and foremost, devised by the community leaders to handle the technical aspects of meeting its mission statement. The primary mission of Southern California Tribal Chairmen's Association (SCTCA) is to serve the health, welfare, safety, education, cultural, economic and employment needs of its tribal members and descendants in the San Diego County urban areas.
